One million exercise fans are expected to take part in the world’s biggest workout on 14 January 2017 to celebrate the 100th release of BODYPUMP™. Northampton Leisure Trust will be making sure Northampton is part of the event with an afternoon of FREE classes at its Trilogy gym at Danes Camp Leisure Centre.

Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP is a total body workout created by global fitness pioneers Les Mills. In partnership with Reebok, Les Mills is working with thousands of fitness clubs around the world in an attempt to create the world’s biggest workout.

Les Mills International CEO and BODYPUMP originator Phillip Mills says thousands of certified instructors will be running workouts all day long, all over the world in a coordinated global launch for BODYMPUMP100.

“This is an opportunity to celebrate with everyone who loves BODYPUMP,” says Mills. “It’s an incredible milestone, and a lot of people have worked very hard over the years to make this possible.”

Stella Barker, Fitness Development Officer at Northampton Leisure Trust comments, “We’re really excited for Trilogy to be part of the world’s biggest workout this Saturday and are encouraging the people of Northampton to book a space and join us for an afternoon of FREE classes. As well as BODYPUMP we will be running taster sessions in body attack, body combat and GRIT. We are also proud to be supporting the Les Mills Fund For Children on the day with collection buckets. Its mission is to create a healthier and fitter planet and ensure as many children as possible get the opportunity to grow up healthy, fit and most importantly; happy.”

The Trilogy BODYPUMP100 event opens at 12.45pm this Saturday at Danes Camp Leisure Centre and places can be booked by calling 01604 838333. There are six different classes taking place throughout the afternoon, a full timetable for the day can be found here
