Frequently Asked Questions

Where and how do I input my vehicle registration details?

We have two terminals clearly signposted next to the main reception in the centre. Simply follow the instructions on the screen.

If I go to the gym, swim and cinema, is there a parking time limit?

There is no time limit for our customers

What happens if I am just dropping off?

There is a 10 minute drop off/pick up grace period

Will I be issued a parking charge if I forget to register my vehicle on entry?

You can register your vehicle on the way in or way out of the centre

Will Parking Eye clamp down on people parking down the middle of the front car park making it difficult for people to get in and out of marked spaces?

The system will not penalise people for parking down the middle.  By restricting the car park to Lings Forum patrons only, this should free up more spaces for our customers thereby reducing the need for people to park down the centre. We are currently obtaining quotes for relining the bays and cross hatch the middle section with yellow lines to help further prevent parking in the middle section of the car park.

Will Parking Eye cover vehicles parked on the pavement next to the rear car park opposite the B&M entrance?

The system will not penalise people for parking on the pavement.  By restricting the car park to Lings Forum patrons only, this should free up more spaces for our customers thereby reducing the need for people to park on the pavement.

What time will the system turn off?  How will it affect me if I’m attending a function?

The system is in place 24 hours a day.  All you need to do is input your vehicle details when you enter or leave the building.

I’m attending a function at Lings Forum, how will I be affected if I decide to leave my car in the car park overnight?

You can leave your car overnight and not be charged, as long as you input your vehicle details when you arrive and leave within 24 hours.

Will you be fixing the potholes in the car park?

We are currently obtaining quotes for filling the potholes in the front and rear car parks and reline the bays.

I’m a patient of the medical centre and usually park in the Lings Forum car park, can I still park here?

No, the car park is for Lings Forum Leisure Centre and Forum Cinema customers only with allocated parking for the church and the nursery. Medical centre patients will need to speak to the medical centre for advice on where to park.

What happens if I receive a parking charge even though I have entered my vehicle details on the terminal correctly?

Systems are in place to ensure this doesn’t happen. However should you receive a parking charge you believe to be in error you will need to appeal this directly with Parking Eye. Please ask a member of our reception team to print you a receipt for the activity you/your child attended and contact Parking Eye via the contact information provided on the Parking Charge notice.

I want to appeal a Parking Eye charge, how do I do this?

Any parking charge appeals can only be dealt with by contacting Parking Eye directly. Please use the contact information provided on your parking charge notice.
