Walking Football and Short Tennis Added To Northampton’s 50 Plus Activities

Northampton Leisure Trust has added Walking Football and Short Tennis to its exciting programme of activities aimed at those aged 50 plus. Developed to help people to get fit, make new friends, stay healthy, feel great and have fun, 50 plus activities take place at all four of NLT’s Leisure Centres across Northampton.

The new activities form part of the popular 50 plus days that take place at Duston Sports Centre, Danes Camp and Lings Forum Leisure Centres. They complement the already popular swimming, aqua aerobics, badminton, table tennis, health suite sessions, bowls and pilates activities. Anyone attending a 50 plus day at Danes Camp Leisure Centre or Duston Sports Centre will also receive a complimentary premium tea or coffee from the Coffeebox from today.

Ian Redfern, Managing Director of Northampton Leisure Trust said: “Our 50 plus activities and days give older people the opportunity to try out a range of activities in a relaxed, social atmosphere and are designed to be taken at their own pace.  Our programme offers a great variety of fun activities to get involved in and we are delighted to be able to add new activities to our timetable giving the people of Northampton even more opportunities to get active.”

50 Plus Days are FREE to Trilogy Supergold and Senior Citizen members, £4.50 with a leisure card or £6.95 without. To find out more about the full range of 50 plus activities available from Northampton Leisure Trust please click here.
